For the development of international relations Ena Ekaterina, Marketing Director of EMG had a presentation on Macroeconomic overview and forecast for economy of Russia during the visit of the delegation of municipalities of Jyväskylä Region. Jyväskylä’s economic structure is diverse and service-dominated. The region has some 10 000 companies all in all. The province of Central Finland is known in particular for its technology industry, which is in constant renewal. The growth sectors of the future are cyber security and the bioeconomy.
The ICT (information and communications technology) branch has grown steadily in the region for many years now. Among the largest technology companies are Valmet, Patria, Moventas, TeliaSonera, Tieto, Komas, Landis + Gyr, Protacon and Jyväskylä Energy Group. The ICT branch is made up of approximately 500 companies.
