Don't forget about customs statistics!

At the end of January 2017 a new regulation of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation became effective (art. 19.7.13 of AOC RF) which provides for liability in the event that the statistical form for recording the movement of goods is provided to the customs authorities late.

Please be reminded that companies and individual entrepreneurs carrying on trade with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) are obliged to provide the custom authority with statistical forms for the documentation of the movement of goods. This form has been approved by the Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 7, 2015 № 1329. The term for such provision shall be not later than the eighth working day of the month following the month when the goods were shipped from the warehouse or received at the warehouse. [1]

The Administrative Offenses Code specifies the maximum liability amount for non-providing or late providing the customs authority with statistical form for recording the goods movement as follows:

  • penalty in the amount up to 30 000 rubles for official bodies,
  • penalty in the amount up to 100 000 rubles for legal entities.
